Michelle Rees is the Global Head of Events at A&O Shearman, leading the firm's global events strategy and delivery. She joined the firm in 2023 and brings 20 years of experience designing and delivering high-profile event programmes for some of the world's leading professional services and technology organisations, including GLG, Gartner and Linklaters.

Passionate about the future of the events profession, Michelle is exploring how artificial intelligence can transform event operations, decision-making and stakeholder engagement. She is a strong advocate for practical AI adoption, helping her team use emerging technology to drive greater efficiency, consistency and strategic impact.

Alongside her corporate role, Michelle co-founded EventprofsLive, the UK's leading networking community for senior in-house corporate event professionals. She also publishes Event Intel, a weekly newsletter that curates industry insights, trends and innovations for senior event leaders, using AI-powered research and analysis to cut through noise and surface what matters most.
