Dr. Helen Grote

NHS Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow to the Chief Inspector of Hospitals

 

Dr. Helen Grote completed her undergraduate degree and D.Phil at the University of Oxford, prior to clinical training at the University of Cambridge. She is currently a Neurology Registrar at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, with a special interest in Neurogenetics.

Helen also has an interest in clinical leadership and regulation. She is a Specialist Advisor at the Care Quality Commission, having worked for the organisation from 2018-2019 as part of the National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow Scheme.

Helen has been profoundly deaf since birth, and is a keen advocate for equality and diversity in leadership, as well as ensuring that disabled staff have access to appropriate reasonable adjustments in the workplace and at conferences.
